    Default Family Fun

Some pics from our recent trip to the range. It was our daughters first time shooting. She enjoyed herself. Shot .22lr, 38 Special, 9mm, and 17 HMR.

Looks like a good wholesome family day. More families should do this. I wish I could do this with my family more often.

You get an A plus for teaching the girls not to lean away from the gun, seems like a lot of inexperienced shooters arch their backs away from the gun. Anyway, looks like a great time...can't wait to teach my future kids the awesome fun of shooting responsibly.

Congrats on getting the whole family out to the range. It's not something you hear about all that often anymore.

I haven't gone shooting with my whole family since probably 7th grade. And that was cut short when my grandfather shot himself in the foot with his .45 Long Colt.

It looks like everyone had a great day. I haven't shot pins in a long time.

Very nice ... it's good to see families shooting together.

I for one am VERY happy to see a family day at the range,,, Good for you!!!!!
BUT, I can speak from expirence that even a .22 at that short of a range can toss back stuff from behind the backer board or even bounce back, And I didnt see much eye protection there,,,
I am sorry to mention this, But as I say,,, Just last year I was shooting a .22 on a 45' range and had some sort of matter come back and smack me in the cheek hard.. I wear glasses now.

No need to be sorry. It's a valid point.
We were wearing protection when shooting the steel plates. My one son actually got a cut on his hand from back splatter.
