    Default sr9 recoil spring

wanted to ask a question. I have posted this on the ruger forum but I have noticed a quicker reply here than there.
I have contacted ruger and offered to send them photos of the issue but the tech i spoke too didn't want the photos and said it was normal for this to happen.
    what do you think?
    I don't think it's correct

Yes i know there is no oil on the spring, I removed it all to take the photo. But yes there has always been oil on it

    correct.
Most people I have talked to say it's normal. But any other sr9 owner has said theirs don't look like that.

Just pulled the guide spring out of my SR9, has a few small scrapes but nowhere near the way your looks. I have about 1500-2000 rnds through it.

I have about 1200 threw mine.. I couldn't see any burrs on the spring that might have caused it.
