Default Which has greater muzzle flash? 9mm vs .40 vs .45

Which has the greatest/biggest muzzle flash? 9mm vs .40s&w vs .45
I havent been able to find much info about muzzle flash, but lemme tell you I hate it. I dont like giant fireballs in front of my face, it throws off my shooting and since I want to carry a gun I want the lowest flash for self D.

I know ammo can have alot to do with it, but I'm sure there is a general/standard muzzle flash for each caliber, i just dont know it, and I just would like to know your opinions on each. which has the biggest, least, etc.

Caliber has nothing to do with it.

Its all depends on the powder used in the round and how long the barrel is.

Most of todays self defense ammo uses "no flash" smokeless powder.

All smokeless powder gives a flash.

This is actually that has nada to do with caliber. Muzzle flash depends on all sorts of things like, barrel length, powder used (type/brand) amount of powder used, and I would suspect maybe even primer used.

Don't worry about muzzle flash just rest assured that the .45acp is the finest fighting caliper ever developed and should only be chambered in the 1911 the pinnacle of defensive hand guns !

Muzzle flash will vary according to powder/brand of ammo used. For example the lowest flash 9mm i've seen is WW Silvertips.

I have some Remington Golden Saber .45acp that even at low light have very little flash. I think it has to do with the powder.

Depends on which end of the pistol you happen to be standing on!
