Re: Montgomery county Permit to carry concealed not valid in Montgomery County parks.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I don't make a habit of searching a nearby tree to find the rules and regs of the local park. Not that I'd leave the gun home while in the park anyway, but still...
I can tell you've been rady8ed, you have a nice glow about you.

I like to think of it more as 'art'.

This is why we need to get 2011 up for a vote and passed.

Someone should have this copied and laminated and staple it up above every one of the county's signs:
Title 18: Crimes and Offenses
Chapter 61: Firearms and Other Dangerous Articles
Subchapter A: Uniform Firearms Act
Section 6120: Limitation on the regulation of firearms and ammunition.
(a) General rule. No county, municipality, or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer, or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this Commonwealth.

Sign says county commisioners. There's 3 county commisioners. I'll try emailing for the hell of it. I spent a half hour reading the thread. Now I'm all worked up. Some of those emails from 2009 were well written. I might have to borrow some of the wording and statutes. Hope no one minds.

If anyone gets through to the proper channels and needs other people to participate as well (calls, emails, protests etc.) just let us know.

Re: Montgomery county Permit to carry concealed not valid in Montgomery County parks.
Ok I spent an hour writing up an email to the mont co commissioners. I explained how the park and trail rules don't mention firearms so the signs must be a mistake. I stated the statute and some case law. Before I send it I want to go see one of these signs. Anyone know what parks have them?
