Case expanding and crimping
I'm curious about how much I should expand the mouth of a 9mm Luger case?
I did a dummy round and noticed that there is a gap surrounding the bullet. I've either expanded it too much or didnt crimp it enough. I adjusted the dies following RCBS's instruction but since I haven't found an exacting amount to expand, I'm wondering whats worked for others.
The cases a Blazer, the bullets are 9mm Lead alloy round nose, 115gr.

Re: Case expanding and crimping
What size are the bullets you are using?
You want to open it up just enough so that the bullet sits just in the case and not on top of the case mouth.
That being said, you might not have your seating die down far enough in order to close the mouth back down once the bullet has been seated.
There are some good videos on YouTube. If you search for reloading die adjustment or whatever, you should find them.
