    Oh. If I am facing a bear with just a knife, I'll either be running like hell or if running isn't an option, trying to stick the knife either in its eye or up under its jaw and pray that the blade is long enough to poke brain matter.

    i guess the point is that a release of air into the body and blood stream like that would be instantly deadly, i can see its uses for diving, where the air alone would even just deter a potential predator.

    myself , i choose the ."stay the f@#k out of the water and away from the sharks" deterrent.
