Unlike Al Gore, I've never felt the need to outsource my "manliness". Gore hired a woman for tips on how to be more manly (Seriously, he did, I believe it was Naomi Wolf. That tells you why he lost right there.)

The sorts of people who need to find their inner man on the Internet are the same sort of progressive liberal weenies who are scared of guns, resent their daddies, and have mixed feelings about vaginas. They believe that guns are evil, except of course for those carried by government agents. Strangely, these are usually the same people who protest the government. Go figure.

While I agree with the guy who posted this comment, I don't see it to be reasonable of someone to expect a group of stereotypically irresponsible, childlike men to teach their children responsibility. Somewhere in the last 60 years, someone really fucked with the gene pool. The pussification of men makes me ill...

And that might well be manly for there, but I think not so elsewhere, and as this isn’t “the art of US Manliness”, we should look to common ground and examples from all cultures, which has previously been covered so well (love the mentions of Rugby in the sports sections ).

This douche bag is not only afraid of guns (understandable for someone who has grown up completely shielded from them his entire life.), but he's also trying to turn a private blog into international public property, by saying that his articles shouldn't show bias towards America's customs. Words cannot even begin to describe how much people like that piss me off.

90% of anti-gunners have NEVER seen a real gun let alone used one. They have an unnatural fear of them just like an unnatural fear of flying for instance. If you can convince them to go shooting and get familiar with guns they may even like it. Unfortunately most are seriously paranoid.

I though the data of four (4) kid dying everyday in the US by firearms was good, aged 0-17. What they don't tell ya is that most of them are criminals or involved in criminal activity and die as a result of said actions and associations. I think last year was the lowest accidental death by firearms since they started keeping records in 1905? Any help there??? Around 100 I believe...

When you grow up in a paternalistic society, where you only have the Police as recourse against criminals, and where the Government fears armed law-abiding citizens, you might be expected to have the narrow-minded viewpoint that guns are BAD.

Personally, I'd want to have some means for ensuring home defense - especially in Great Britain, which approaches Sharia law more closely, day-by-day.
