    Default AR15 Bullpup?

Toying with the idea of adding a bullpup style stock to a new build, but net seems a bit devoid of suppliers and/or info.

Anyone here come across a good-looking AND functional bullpup style stock for an AR?

In all my years I've never seen a bullpup setup for the AR design. One reason being is the AR's use of a buffer tube. You'd have to find an upper that doesn't use the a tube for recoil absorption of the bolt carrier.

    +1
If you did it with a .22 LR conversion it could be done without the buffer tube, or you could trade in that AR towards a MSAR STG-556.

That's just it... I've never seen one done on an AR15 platform. I would like to try one for my next build.

Yes, seen the STG556, very nice. But I still want to build one.

Possibly a shortened buffer tube as per pistol varient...

I do not recommend a bull pup stock for the AR system as it will more than likely interfere with the buffing system

ill try to find it, but i have seen an upper that gets rid of the buffer tube and puts a recoil spring on the side/top of the upper. you could then shorten the bolt carrier enough to be able to build a bull pup

    QFT.

I don't think its possible to do unless you have a piston system AR even then you would have to find away mod everything to fit in a comfortable package. I think the FS2000 is as close to a bullpup AR as were gonna see. Oh and forget about shooting a bullpup AR left handed you would probably whack yourself in the face or arm with hot brass.

I'm no an expert wit ar-15's by any means but if you removed the stock and then put the back of the reciever on your shoulder (as per bull pup) you wouldn't be able to use the chargin handle unless you un-shouldered your weapon or redesigned the charging system.
