pistols at sgl 183?

is the range on route 6 rifle and pistol or just rifle points? not sure whats there....just bought a vacation home in the area

183 does have a 25 yrd pistol range, though the last time I was there, the last week of June, I found that some knuckleheads had destroyed all the plywood for pistol targets, seemingly with buckshot.

Guess I should look over sites more carefully before I link them. I just now noticed that the PGC site doesnt list handgun points for 183. Guys do shoot handguns at the 25 yrd points though. I've just always assumed it was okay - they even have the "no more than six rounds in a handgun" rule posted.

thats why i was asking....the web site mad no mention of handgun points...next time we go up ill stop by there

Maybe someone else who is more familiar with 183 can chime in; I've fired pistols at 183 on the 25 yrd and have seen others do the same, but never in the presence of a PGC officer. Sorta doubt many guys go rifle at 25 yards.

You can shoot pistols. I shoot there all the time. Just don't load more than 6 or they can fine you. They actually just rebuilt a table so you have something to put your gun on when you're standing and shooting. They try to keep up on the backstops but assholes keep blowing up everything with shotguns. Slugs are OK, just not buckshot or birdshot.
