Default Bass Pro is CC friendly, no OC

I went in Bass Pro this week to look for a new sub compact to carry and pick up some fly tying material. As we were walking up my fiance asked if I left my Walther in the car because of the signage that says all firearms & bows must be checked at the customer service station. Being that it is only my 2nd week of carrying I figured I would ask the greeter more about their firearms policy. I asked the gentleman at the entrance if I had to check my pistol or if I could keep it on me. He let me know that rifles and bows had to be checked but they allow the carrying of a pistol as long as it stays concealed. I can understand them not wanting people walking around with rifles but it really surprised me that they weren't OC friendly.

Actually the check firearms sign is for repairs or trade-ins. It has nothing to do with retail custormers.

Cabelia's has the same policy but their sign specifically say that CC and OC is OK as long as it does not leave the holster.

And if you don't have an LCTF?

Woe be to the poor guy who OCs, but doesn't know about needing an LTCF to CC when told to comply with BP's policy...

Of course, the ultimate solution is to not shop at Bass Pro.
