Default Giant foods not OC friendly.

Well today I was out picking up some odds and ends, at Giant in Pottstown. A store which I have carried in OC about 50 times with out incident. Well anyway about ten minutes in to my shopping trip (I am in the yougurt/dairy isle) I see the manger turn the corner and start right for me. I was instantly aware fo the conversation I was about to have.

She was very polite the entire time, and baiscally said that they had an incident at one of their stores a couple of weeks ago, so long and short Giant no longer "allows" weapons in their stores. She went on to explain that her hubby is an officer of the law, and she knows the "gun" lifestyle. Which made me smile a little.

So I carried on with my usual song and dance about Giant being responsible for something happening to me in their stores due to the fact I would not be allowed to properly defend myself while patronizing their stores. Yada Yada Yada. How Giant is directly affecting and trampling my rights as an American and a Pensylvainian. She once again apologized for the inconvenience, and said I could get one more quick thing but then I had to leave. Per PA law after being asked to leave I complied, and did so with otu further incident.

Got to say I am a bit dissapointed.

DAMN. I guess they'll be kicking me out soon, too

Looks like my email on the last posted incident really helped the situation. Woke them up to enforcing their policy. I guess that's why we never got responses. Shit rolls downhill and the responses will be given in person.

I stopped shopping there after the previous thread. Too bad, they just lost a lot of business for naught.

Maybe you spend a hell of a lot of money there. But no matter. 20-100 OC'ers taking their business elsewhere aint going to hurt Giant.

True but if we unite then 200-1000 OC'ers just might sting. Unity, my friends unity.

    Over 20,000 members on PAFOA.

If we had actual unity that was voiced and acted out by one and all, we could move mountains my friends.

I wonder "incident" she was referring to? I've OC'ed in the Giant by me a couple times, no problems.

I don't think it's a matter of "if" we had unity and certainly not a matter of whether or not I will shop there anymore. It's a matter of activism. Informing those 20,000 and getting them to act. Unfortunately, a process I am not familiar with.
