WWII weekend in Reading
Anyone going to this this weekend? I'm going to head over there for the first time. Anything there that I absolutely shouldn't miss?

I also heard Ted "Dutch" Van Kirk (navigator of the Enola Gay) is going to be there as well.

Re: WWII weekend in Reading
Bring a big lightweight poncho (2 years ago it was like a monsoon), bring sunscreen (last year it was hot), money (for all the surplus), food (expensive to eat there if you are buying for more than one person), and comfortable shoes. Have fun - we go there every year!

First, review http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html
Don't forget a camera. Stay away of you collect "things" as the sutlers had a very strong turnout a year or two ago. There was one gent selling Enigma machines .
Wear walking shoes, as you won't be able to part within a mile or two of it. A bus will take you to the gate, and you're on foot until you catch the bus back to your car.

i'm going to miss it this year, and am getting bent out of shape the closer it comes , it's this weekend.
i hit it last year with the sole intent of seeing the bf-109, that did not make it in.Last edited by brian; September 26th, 2012 at 05:28 PM.

Sounds like a fun time. Are you going CR? Perhaps I will make an appearance there this year.
