Only thing I can think of is that a family 'pet' escaped or was let go. Wouldn't that have been a nasty suprise for swimmers or white water rafters!

I predict a "What gun for gator?" thread.

As well as a "What sauce for grilled gator?" thread.

There's actually alot of animals in PA that aren't supposed to be here. I caught a black widow once while shooting, and turned it over to the Entomologist at Clarion University. My grandpa, and several other firemen sware they saw a panther while on a call in the middle of nowhere.

Forgot, there weas a story a few months back of a mountain lion in the Pittsburgh area.

It's not hard to believe since I've seen more wildlife in Pitt, then I ever saw living in the woods. I have lots of pics/video on my phone of the deer, raccoons, porcupines, etc.. that run around at work.

I heard this too. it was a story of a mountain lion in carack. They apparantly found foot print in an alley there too. I wouldnt be surprised if it was true though.

It was pretty common to have sightings every year during deer drives in Clarion County.
