Hey All,
I didnt see a thread for this show so I decided to post it. Hopefully I will get a chance to make it to the show on Sept. 16th

OK, I really have to get to this one this time around. I have been trying to sell 37mm flares for the longest time. Found buyer easy, but did you know how hard it is to ship flares through the mail? IMPOSSIBLE. So now I have to do a face to face transaction since shipping is insane.
Are there ever any good deals on ammo (.308 military, .223 military, 30.06) at this show?
Thanks!

All I can tell you is that milsurp .308 is supposed to be drying up. The last good deal I knew about was at www.aimsurplus.com, where you could order a case for slightly more than $200.
It recently went up in price, but it shouldnt be that much higher.==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams

Very true about milsup ammo. Cheap ammo is a thing a the past, for now.
These days the best deals I have found is SA .308 from Aims, British .223 from a few sources like J&G and .30 06 direct from CMP.
That said, I picked up a few cases from the last VG show for about the usual prices. No deals.

There used to be at least one guy there every time with a table full of CETME's. I haven't seen him the last couple shows and I'm wondering are those drying up, i.e. did I miss my window to get a cheap 7.62 MBR?
John: How come I'm not afraid?
D'Argo: Fear accompanies the possibility of death. Calm shepherds its certainty.
John: I love hanging with you, man.

Dave Force used to sell CETME's and other military semi-autos at the Aston/Chester shows. I don't remember him selling ammo, but I posted his contact info here:

I think he only goes to the Allentown shows now.

You missed the boat on the Cetme's...they are no longer being built by Century. I sold one to Diego a few months ago. You can find Cetme's for sale, but their asking prices have gone up. You won't be finding a Cetme for $300 unless the person is needing some cash fast.

Speaking of the Valley Forge Show, I wonder if there can be a way for us to recognize each other?
