Lost Hunters Safety Card
OK..took the course when i was 12 or so, I'm now 28... I NEVER got a hunting license. I pretty much have no desire to hunt. I just took the course in case I ever did. And now, I can't say that I specifically want to hunt but I believe my dogs would enjoy it and I would like to train them to hunt fowl. I have a male chocolate lab and a female black lab. I treat them more like kids than I do dogs. So to me this is the equivalent to taking the kids to the park.
Anyway, onto business, my card is lost. I had it stashed at my parents house in what I thought was a protected area so I would never lose it...and of course, its gone.
If I want to get a license, do I have to take the course over again, or is it on record somewhere that I took this and can get a duplicate card?

Re: Lost Hunters Safety Card
I have never been asked for my card.
I lost mine in the mid 80's.

Re: Lost Hunters Safety Card
I got mine last year and finally bought a license for the first time this year, but was surprised I didn't need it when I did the order online. Actually just got the papers in the mail the other day, so no problems without it...

Re: Lost Hunters Safety Card
I've never seen an adult get asked for it or their hunting license from last year... The card is good when you're traveling to another state to hunt though, some states are funny like that...
