One off to rainbow bridge
The most gentle cat I have ever seen had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy 4 months ago, after he almost died when he one morning suddenly went into cardiac arrest with fluid in the lungs and chest. The vet saved him with oxygen and I had to force feed him for 2 weeks, but he got back to his purry and cuddly self and had been on pills twice daily since.
He was a shy, genuinely good and toilet trained companion for only 4 years. Last night, the inevitable blood clot, that probably developed from his heart murmur, dislodged and blocked the artery where it splits into the hind legs (most common in cats). All the emergency clinic could do was put him to rest. We had been warned by our vet that this was coming (thanks for that), so when he started to cry and drag his hind legs, I knew instantly what was up.
I miss Leopold.
JanSo long and thanks for all the fish.

sorry for your loss
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
