Default A2 F marked front site height?

I have a factory assembled LMT upper w/ A2 front site. I was told & the paperwork state that it is a F-type ht. I have seen Colts w/ a small F marked on the site. Mine has a <B> mark on it. I have tried a search but no luck.
I would like to know the Ht above the center line of the barrel to the top of the site pin while it is (the site pin)in the center position and /or any other way to confirm an F front sight . LMT says they only use F ht as they are only making flattop receivers now but I would like to know.
    Hope someone can help.

F marked front sight post is .040" higher than a non F marked front sight post.

Thanks Legion, but I do not have another upper w/ A2. site to compare. Would you happen to know another bechmark?
    thanks Again

You should be fine. I didn't have any problems with my 16" LMT M4 upper. The Model 1 upper needed a taller front sight to get on paper without unscrewing the front sight to the point that it wobbled.

Well since it is a factory assembled LMT I'd say measure it and use that as a benchmark.

I know I have blueprints somewhere, but I have no idea where. Since it's LMT I would trust them to use them as a benchmark. Were it Model 1 or DPMS or Bushmaster . . . not so much, but LMT is GTG. Just be careful, their gas ports are sized for milspec 5.56 so underpowered .223 ammo may cause shortstroking. Not a guarantee, but if you experience it check first with some Q3131 or XM193 to make sure it's not the ammo.
