Concealed Carry Question
Well, first I work at a department store situated in a not so good area of the city. When I get my LTCF, I mostly want to carry at my workplace, as that's by far the most dangerous place I usually hang out at.(The only dangerous aspect of it is walking to my car at night, as employees are made to park far away) The only problem is that I work on cars, so I have to change in a uniform and out, and usually, around other guys. So my problem is that I do not want anyone to see the firearm, and if anywhere, work is the only place I will need to carry.
Any ideas?

Re: Concealed Carry Question
Visit a stall in the bathroom?
I'm pretty sure nobody is going to stop by to see what you're doing?

Re: Concealed Carry Question
Agreed, change in a bathroom stall. That's your best bet if you can.

Re: Concealed Carry Question
Actually we have an employee bathroom that's strictly for the automotive techs to change in. We have a toilet in there- no doors on the stalls. I suppose I can lock the main door when I get changed. I've heard a few people have gotten robbed in the parking lot there, that's why I want to carry there.

Re: Concealed Carry Question
Is it against co. policy to carry? If not why would you care if the other employees see your carry piece?

Re: Concealed Carry Question
I have a small fanny pack, that I used before graduating to an IWB holster.
Discreet and nobody knew I was carrying, unless they were familiar with carrying.
Have you got lockers where you can secure your valuables when working?

What about a belly band and just leave an undershirt on while changing?

Re: Concealed Carry Question
Well wal-mart can't afford to be too discriminating about who they hire. They can't ask for experience as they would only have a few applicants, and be forced to pay them more, so they hire anyone with a driver's license, and is at least 18 to work in the garage. Most of the times, I work among younger people, and I don't even have to tell you how young kids act when they see firearms. They would think it's "cool" and would try to hold it and such. That's why I want to keep it concealed.
I don't think employees are permitted to carry, but I don't know for sure.
