IDPA PA State match
Anyone here shoot it? I shot it today (Sunday) when it wasn't raining. It was a fun match and somewhat mentally demanding. I had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a great match.

++++++++++1.
I shot with Steve and a few others on the forum. Agreed, it was somewhat mentally challenging, but I had a lot of fun despite the rain. I made it through with only 1 procedural which was somewhat of a chore on its own (I forgot to pull my pants up after T1's head popped out in the bathroom stall) . It just so happend to be pouring at that time too, I think that had some bearing on it. ??? I wonder how things would go if we had a nice day. Steve and I shot last year in the rain too . Oh well, I'd do it again, great match, THANKS to ALL who HELPED!!![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: IDPA PA State match
I shot Saturday. That was the most challenging major match I've been
to. Still getting the mud out of my shoes. You guys do any good on your
scores?

First. I will kiss the mans butt that invented Gore-tex. When the day was done. I didn't even have to change my clothes that I had on under my Gore-tex.
Second. Rain does not describe the weather that day. Torrential Downpours is getting closer. But in a way, it made it even more fun. I mean, hey, if we will stand around in that kind of weather to shoot, we must like the darn sport or something.
Third. I set a record for the most procedural one person can accumulate in one day I think. Just call me the "Procedural King".
Fourth. I had a blast. Met some wonderful people. Met a couple PAFOA members. Finally got to actually talk to Ronnie from the ZRT thread. Got ragged alot by my buddies about all the stupid stuff I did. I loved the way one stage led to the next one with the story line at times.
Fifth. I found out I can also just have major brain freeze at times. How can you forget to just shoot three targets standing out in the open. Duhhhh.
And last but not least. I posted a couple videos on YouTube if you want to check them out. Do a search for 2009 PA. State IDPA Match or look me up. MTBKSKI. I didn't get all of the stages due to the heavy rains. But I did get some good ones. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....

Good videos. The wife enjoyed seeing what I did in the rain. You didn't include
the toilet scene oops.

Re: IDPA PA State match
I had a few factors going against me...
First, I'm breaking in a new gun. I won an XD 45 at the maryland state championship and decided to switch over to this from now on.
The lack of hard work with this gun showed in my inability to shoot worth a damn one handed. and in the inability to know where the gun hits at long range...
This lead to 3 FTN's and 4 procedurals... in addition to being extremely slow on a few stages...
The rain didn't help things of course and at times I was trying very hard to keep my glasses defogged or dry so I could at least see...
As was said it was a very challenging match, I didn't rise to that challenge most of the time...Drew Bingaman Chair Susquehanna Valley Libertarian Party
