    Default Springfield V-10 Ultra

Does anyone own or have experience with the Springfield V-10 Ultra? It's a compact 1911 with a flared barrel and ports on top of the barrel and slide to reduce recoil. Saw a used one for sale and would like to get some feedback from you members...thanx...Mike45

Better choices exist for CCW because of the ports.

i had one and never had any issues with reliablity or accuracy. it shot just as accurate and was just as reliable as any pistol i own. i eventually sold it only because the little fireballs that shoot up out of the ports was distracting. i didn't find it any harder to clean than any other pistol you just had the added chore of wiping residue off of the top of the slide and cleaning the ports occasionally.
