Event Venue in Pittsburgh

Does anyone know of an indoor event venue that does not have a "no weapons" (grr) policy to be rented around September? As IN THE CITY as possible?... Please let me know!

a few initial questions to help define the need here ...

group size?
day or evening?
weekday or weekend?
specific date or best available date nearest your target date?
must location be "student travel friendly"? (meaning on the bus line ... )
must location support food service / kitchen facilities / food prep?

The lodge and several other buildings at North Park come to mind if you cannot find something more "inner city" ... it's the closest county park to downtown and is relatively accessible to most, and you'd likely have pre-emption on your side You'd also have the appearance of a more "family friendly" gathering and there would be other items of interest in the area to attract folks to attend. Riverview Park in the City of Pittsburgh has a few similar structures, although on a smaller scale.

A few local gun clubs also come to mind, problem is such a location might be more easily "dismissed" and gather less attention due to location
("just another function at xxx gun club") ...
