HB 1292 - Changes to Licensing (LTCF)
If I read this correctly, this requires the Sheriff to provide a 30 day notice re: revocation of LTCF under the "good repute" clause and the license holder has a right to an automatic court hearing, (but license holder must respond to the notice to revoke).
I deem this one worthy of our support.

Re: HB 1292 - Changes to Licensing (LTCF)
IMO, this is absolutely a BIG step i the right direction.
The sheriff will now have to consider that his actions will automatically be subject to COURT REVIEW if the revokee so chooses. And since it is automatic upon request and free, you can bet your ass that the decision will be challenged by many, particularly if it is a bogus revocation.
This is LONG overdue.

VERY big step in the right direction. If we get this passed, the big thing to keep in mind is keep your address current with the issuing authority....

Hmmm, noticed that on the first line 14 the license is referred to as a permit.

Re: HB 1292 - Changes to Licensing (LTCF)
AHH yes. Very observant of you! But that is a portion that is in the existing law.
Text that is to be removed from the existing law is bounded [thus], text that is to be added is underlined.
Thanks also for your mail to your representive in support of this bill.
I also suggest that occasionally *we* send letters of thanks to those legislators supporting us. Or at least if one of the sponsors is your representative, saying thank you.

As most of you know, I usually hate any new legislation. However, I like this bill!
I am composing an email to my rep as soon as I finish here.
