Re: trying to find a good Bullet resistant vest
I've never used this company myself but I read good reviews about them before: http://bulletproofme.com/
I have an Interceptor OTV (Outer Tactical Vest) from Point Blank. As the name implies its NOT a concealable vest and has the MOLLE straps on it (and is Woodland camouflage, lol). I have no ballistic plates for it unfortunately and its a little small but it was offered to me for real cheap so I couldn't say no.
Other than that, it wears well and is comfortable, I just used it for a zombie shoot since the MOLLE straps hold my mag pouch for easy access but unless a real zombie outbreak comes I have no real world use for it. A concealable vest is in my future!

Galls and Atlantic Tactical to name a couple. I bought my "oh shit" vest from Galls. Level IIIa everywhere with two ceramic plates that will stop rifles.

Got my vest from Quartermaster. They require proof of occupation, police, security or such.

Best selection I have found anywhere. Not sure how customer service is or how prices compare to other places. But they are bound to have what you want. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
