    Default Carrying a mak?

So I got my beltman 1.75 belt and my simply rugged holster. I can now tote my GP 100 with 6 rounds of .357 comfort. I like it. The gun weighs a metric shit ton. Sometimes I don't require that kind of firepower. Being in the woods is one thing, but I'd like to have something easy to grab for a trip to Sheetz.

I happen to own a Makarov in .380. Not ideal. sights aren't fantastic, but I shoot it pretty well. Trigger isn't so great and the gun is heavy for its size. I still think I would rather have it then nothing.

So what I need are holster suggestions to go with my wide belt. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance everyone.

Congrats....quality gun...quality holster & belt. I have a Simply Rugged for my Redhawk. It weighs 1.5 metric shit tons.

What barrel length is your GP100??

As for the Mak...will it fit in holsters made for Walther PP & clones like Bersa??

My Mak 9mm sits in a Crossman air soft pistol holster, it even has a pouch for a extra mag. I got mine a Dick's for about $10.00. It fits like it was made for it.

Ever heard of Wild Bill's Concealment Holsters? Saw them at the York gun show a month or so ago. Pretty sure I saw several models for a Mak. The ones made from bullhide really impressed me. www.wildbillsconcealment.com

My makarov sits more than comfortably in a DeSantis Cozy Partner - Style 028 holster. Yes it is pricey compared to some others but it feels great on my side. Sometimes it is so comfortable I have to check to make sure it is still there. I had to tighten the screw on the holster to get a snug fit but other than that it feels like it was made for the pistol.

Wally-world is getting them again, $6. A Gunmate size 0 or Size 10 both work, too.

I always tell people this. It may have been pricy but it works well.
A POS 10$ holster may be OK for occasional carry. But if one plans on packing all the time...get good stuff. It pays in the long run.

Gunmate is sort of disappointing for a holster. It works but its not the greatest.
