Carbine upper on a pistol lower...any legal consequences?
I have enough parts to build a complete carbine upper, but not a complete rifle lower yet. I also have a complete pistol lower already built, waiting for parts to complete a pistol upper. I'm thinking of putting the carbine upper onto the pistol lower for some function test...and possibly some shooting until I complete my rifle lower. Technically, I won't have a stock on the lower, ever so I should be OK legally as far as I know. Am I missing anything that I should be concerned about legally? I know a 16" pistol will look a little absurd, but...

No problem with putting a carbine upper on a pistol lower. If you wanted, you could put a full length varmint upper on there and not be breaking any laws.
