Default Anyone use 9mm Flat nose bullets

I am going start reloading 9mm and was wondering if anyone has used 9mm flat nose bullets? Any feeding probelms etc.
Every 9mm (new and commercial reloads) I have ever purchased were round nose.

Just looking for some opinions before I buy a quantity of 9mm bullets.

    Thanks,
    Ed

Default Re: Anyone use 9mm Flat nose bullets

I'm using the 147 grain hard cast round nose flat points from Roger's Better Bullets, bought at King's Shooters Supply. I use them because they have a profile very similar to JHPs, and they cut almost as pretty a hole in the target as SWCs. I've not had any functioning problems, and I've finally found a load that provides good accuracy with them (3.2 gr Bullseye, Federal 100 primer, mixed brass, 1.120" OAL) while still being very mild in recoil. Supposedly, should be producing 900-950 fps out of the XD9 Tactical and S&W 59.

I really need to buy a chronograph!!
