Notice what...wearing the lacey stuff? LOL!
Well, if I saw a guy wearing ladies' unmentionables...I guess I wouldn't say anything.

Well, you'd probably notice I was packing...but be too distracted to notice the firearm!

Regarding vests....LLBean sells one with internal and external zippable pockets that, IMHO, really doesn't scream "packing" to anyone at all. Check it out:

C'mon... Vests ALWAYS scream "packing".... Really. Same as Fanny Packs.

I carry at about 4:30... so as long as I'm standing... I don't print. If I bend at the waist... it is REALLY obvious, espicially when my shirt tail isn't quite long enough and I have to adjust my cover garment afterwards.

LOL, About the only way I can conceal a 5" bbl. .45 is to wear a down coat.

At 150 lbs and 6', I can only conceal a North American Arms 22 Derringer. Well maybe a .25.

I used to wear a Bianchi fanny pack, carried it for years with a Colt Defender inside, no one really knew any different. But back then they were the style. Today they look out of place.

Speaking from the perspective of someone new to carrying, I can tell you that SO many lights go on from past experience now that I'm in the know:

    • I can recall thinking "that guy's cell phone must be annoying poking out like that. I'm glad I have a RAZR"
    • How can people wear untucked shirts? What a slob.
    • Man, that guy is SO out of style with that fanny pack.

Seriously - from a non-carrying person's perspective, some things aren't as obvious. Yesterday the wifey and I went for a bike ride in the woods and I took my carry piece out of my waistband to put it in my bike bag and she double-taked and said "I didn't know you were wearing that"

I agree. I guarantee you that if you saw me walking around Whole Foods wearing one of those LL Bean vests along with golf shirt, shorts, and sandals, 99.9% of the people wouldn't think that I might be packing. (The remaining 0.1% will be the ones who have read this post.)

Besides, I've been wearing these vests in shirt-sleeve weather for years -- long before I got a carry permit -- just b/c I like having the extra pockets.

Actually, a light weight (for summer) and a little heavier weight (for Spring and Fall) Sports Coat (or Blazer) would conceal virtually any handgun you'd like to carry.

This is the one I have: Cabela Moody Creek Blazer. It's a nice three season blazer and conceals anything I'd want to carry.

And, you could easily conceal a Kahr MK9 or similar handgun. A dark Tee Shirt (loose fit) covers all...

Today I carried for the first time. My holster came in today. I decided to go with the Smart Carry holster. Complete concealment. There was only a slight (and I mean very slight) bulge and my shirt covered it. No matter what I did no one knew I was carrying, including my family and the hords of people at Wally World.
