Who owns a Calico?
I'm looking for Calico owners to talk to about modifying mine. Not sure if I should or not or what can be done.

Re: Who owns a Calico?
Only thing I did was to put a little bell on mine. It keeps me from stepping on her in the middle of the night.
Sorry, could'nt resist... LOL

lol. I didn't think they were so rare. I'm pretty surprised. They're decent fun guns.

They are kind of a novelty. Not exactly the gun you want if something bad happened.
I sold mine last year.
What were you looking to do to it?

Re: Who owns a Calico?
I was thinking about buying a piece that would allow a red dot scope. I was looking for other ways to turn them into an even more fun gun. Novelty, sure, but they still are really reliable. If you don't know how to operate the mag then it can get unreliable, however.

Re: Who owns a Calico?
I had a red dot scope on my neighbors. Too many people out that night......
I will not remove my AVATAR until this threat is over. One down, four up.

Re: Who owns a Calico?
I used to own a Calico back in the 80s. POS in my opinion, parts of the magazine started falling out, it froze. I bought it when young and unbright. The only thing it did right was early on when I donated its use for a fundraiser. A $2 contribution got 20 shots downrange (1980s ammo prices for .22 LR were pretty low).
Know your audience. Don't try to sell a Prius at a Monster Truck Rally.

Re: Who owns a Calico?
I could imagine that they had a few growing pains especially starting out. Mine is a calico m100lr (I believe). It's a .22lr with wood thumb hole stock. 100 round top feed mag. I really enjoy mine. I've put thousands of rounds through it with very few problems. There was one time where it stove piped but I think that was from my finger blocking the ejected shell (ouch). I've really not had any problems with mine... other than the sights. They're pretty rough
