Got my Utah Concealed Carry Permit today!!!!

Well, I guess there are some things in life that you have to wait longer for for but there aren't many. It feels like it took FOREVER to get this thing. I took the class that was taught by JS1050 in Hellertown on January 24th, which was a good time and very informative I might add. Then on the 28th I sent in my application and all of the BS that goes with it. It was about a month or two, can't remember, until they cashed my check. THen I called and asked how much longer it would take and I was told to expect it in June. Here we are, June 1st, 127 days after taking the course and the envelope from the Utah Department of Public Safety is in my mailbox. I am happy as a pig in $hit. Looks like I am going to be carrying in Delaware today. Woohoo!

You had to send to Utah for a LTCF, just so you could carry in Delaware? Is this country completely screwed up or what? One would think that Delaware would honor Pa's LTCF, but noooooo.....

They received my application on April 21st, and the check just cleared yesterday, June 1st. Should have mine soon.

I took the same class in January but elected to sit on my butt and not mail anything till late February. I also went the Florida route instead (personal reason for that). Florida, while a bit more expensive than UT sent my license about two weeks ago, so they may be moving a tad faster than UT.

At any rate - Jason's class was excellent!

.... if Pa required training we'd have a lot more reciprocity, but the more you have to do to get a license/permit to carry the farther you are from a true 2nd amendment right to carry.

i think he meant that you don't have to send off to utah or flordia to be able to drive in any state in the union but we have to jump through hoops to get to carry in other states. just stupid if you ask me

Utah cashed my check three weeks ago, so judging by everyone elses timetables, I guess I have about three more weeks.
