Got my Utah Concealed Carry Permit today!!!!

Well, I guess there are some things in life that you have to wait longer for for but there aren't many. It feels like it took FOREVER to get this thing. I took the class that was taught by JS1050 in Hellertown on January 24th, which was a good time and very informative I might add. Then on the 28th I sent in my application and all of the BS that goes with it. It was about a month or two, can't remember, until they cashed my check. THen I called and asked how much longer it would take and I was told to expect it in June. Here we are, June 1st, 127 days after taking the course and the envelope from the Utah Department of Public Safety is in my mailbox. I am happy as a pig in $hit. Looks like I am going to be carrying in Delaware today. Woohoo!

You had to send to Utah for a LTCF, just so you could carry in Delaware? Is this country completely screwed up or what? One would think that Delaware would honor Pa's LTCF, but noooooo.....

They received my application on April 21st, and the check just cleared yesterday, June 1st. Should have mine soon.

I took the same class in January but elected to sit on my butt and not mail anything till late February. I also went the Florida route instead (personal reason for that). Florida, while a bit more expensive than UT sent my license about two weeks ago, so they may be moving a tad faster than UT.

At any rate - Jason's class was excellent!

I took Jason's class in March, and just got the UT non res 2 wks ago. He was very thorough, and professional. Heck, I even bought a holster from him!

Whoohooo!

Elder daughter just braved the rain to get yesterday's mail (looking for more birthday cards from family for herself.)

Ends up that daddy got a present instead!

I give Utah credit. The check cleared June 2, permit issued July 20, permit recieved July 25. Not bad even for government time.

I took the April class also. Farted around for 2 or 3 weeks getting it out. I guess that makes me just as slow as a bureaucracy.

Could have used it two weeks ago. We were in Wilmington, DE for sister in law's wedding and were jumping back and forth across the PA/DE line between churches, reception halls and hotel.

Thing that galls me the most is that, at no time were we further than a mile and a half into Delaware.

Oh well, just picked up 6 more states.
