    Default Unique Carry/Storage Problem

Started a new job this week, back to working as a wrench-monkey. Unfortunately the job isn't very friendly with OC like my previous two (working around customers). Now, I do apply to the theory that concealed means concealed, and no one knows = no problem. However I cant seem to come up with a good way to conceal a small pistol. Thought I would toss it out for others to maybe think of a way I haven't come up with.

Weapons are a small frame revolver, or a subcompact pistol (borrowed P11). Clothing is a fitted T-shirt (company shirts), and either jeans or Dickies work blues, with boots. Job entails a lot of bending over (lol), crouching, kneeling, etc. I'm a big guy, so those nifty belly bands and appendix carry are just out.

As an alternative, I could store the weapon in either my car, or tool box. Both of which stay in my sight 90% of the time, and no one should be inside either without my permission (last guy who took a tool is still in the bottom drawer of the box). Either storage method makes a duct taped on ankle rig seem like a fast draw.

Thoughts? I'd also be open to firearm suggestions for the near future, as long as it's stainless (my sweat makes plastic rust).

Sounds like maybe the Smart Carry might be a solution. Deep concealment.

Mine goes in the tool box. Not my first choice, but the best I have.

You obviously have never been a mechanic, at least in the last 10 yrs.

Perhaps you could wear a undershirt, then a shoulder rig, then your company shirt. . . .

Nothing is going to be comfortable for a person doing hard work. But i'd rather take a hit on comfort than a hit on safety. . .

Try an ankle holster. I know a few guy that turn wrenches and carry that way.

I was going to suggest the same. My uncle is a mechanic and had the same issue with carrying. He now carries a G26 in an ankle rig, and says it has been great for him. Give it a try...

I'm a mechanic at a private golf club, and working around small equipment leaves little choices on where and how to CC anything.
