Run in with Fish & Game Commission
So it was my 21st birthday yesterday. I got up early to get my LTCF. I was very excited to begin to carry the responsibility that comes with carrying a firearm.
So later in the day I had made arrangements to go out on the 3 rivers with my parent's boat. One thing led to another and we got "pulled over" by the F&GC. This was my first time ever being in a "traffic stop" on a boat. There are a million things that you need to need to produce (life vests, fire extinguisher, registration, etc.) during this stop. I had no idea all the stuff.
Now, I was carrying both my Sig P229 in an OWB Fobus holster underneath my t-shirt as well as my Sig P230 in my back pocket. The only thing that kept running through my head was everyone's advice to not produce the LTCF if you're not asked for it. I didn't, and I wasn't asked.
It was a good experience in my book.
I still can't believe that the officers didn't notice my P229 at my side as I was jumping around the boat looking for life jackets.

I've had a similar experience, but with the City PD on the river. Pretty embarrassing getting pulled over by a boat.
You know what's worse? getting pulled over by a BICYCLE COP ! I'd love to know where the keep the batteries; that siren was LOUD. Bad stop, too; I did a left on a red light from a one way to a one way; the shift commander had to tell him it was legal."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."

Wait just a minute here...
You mean you didn't feel the need to tell the cops about your guns and your life story?
You mean they didn't just "find out about your gun and freak out by the surprise"?
Holy smokes...it sounds like a great encounter to me! You did everything right!
