Allgheny County Sheriff won't do fingerprints?
Try a PSP Barracks they can normally do it.

Re: Where to get fingerprinted in Pittsburgh?
My local PD did it a couple times but used the wrong card for Utah.
The feds did it for me because I work there. I crapped up the card by using the wrong color ink (must be black)
The PSP do it but the hours are barracks specific. I went to Washington Pa barracks because their hours fell in line with the times I could go. Robinson barracks had less hours and only during my work hours.
Call each for accurate time frames.

There is also someone who does prints for a cost. I don't have further info on that. Perhaps someone with that info can chime in/Last edited by 27hand; May 17th, 2007 at 07:12 PM.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: Where to get fingerprinted in Pittsburgh?
Do a Google search on Pennsylvania State Police - should come up with a couple of links - one of which is Fingerprinting Services. Link will take you to the page that you can see what hours and days they (PSP) provide the service.
Aw, heck - here's the link:
PA State Police Fingerprinting Locations and Hours - Adobe .pdf file
And it's free....you just need the Utah cards. My local barracks refused to use their FBI blue cards - had to wait for the Utah ones to arrive. Took four days for them to arrive here after talking to the Utah BCI department (and a nice gal on the other end of the phone!).
Prints taken, just need the notarized form and it's off for processing!

Re: Where to get fingerprinted in Pittsburgh?
thanks for the info guys.
when i talked to the woman in Utah, she didn't mention anything about it having to be a blue card...i called to ask if they would accept electronic prints like florida does. they will not. she just said they had to be on a card...wish i would have known to ask about the color of the card.
oh well...guess i'll have to wait now for a card to arrive from them.

Re: Where to get fingerprinted in Pittsburgh?
Aren't they all blue cards?
Thats all they have at the Erie County Sheriff's office. They did them for me electronically then they have a printer that prints onto a card. PSP does it the same way, they had the blue card as well.

Re: Where to get fingerprinted in Pittsburgh?
For the Utah permit, the FBI runs the prints. There's a ODI (Originating Deparment ID or something like that) number on the top right of the card (which, by the way, for a "blue card" means off-white/beige with blue lettering/boxes).
My local PSP barracks refused to believe that Utah would put a sticker over the PSP ODI number before sending to the FBI. If something is wrong with the card, the FBI sends it back to the department listed by the ODI number.
Different PSP barracks have good equipment, some have the old roller w/ink and you need Go-Jo Orange to get it off (which works well!). Mine was the old fashioned ink job.
Just ask Utah's BCI department to send them to you if you got the paperwork off the web. By the time you get your class done, they'll be here to get the prints done and off the application goes!
