Loaded gun found in restroom at TGI Friday's in South Strabane

Police are investigating the discovery of a loaded handgun in the men's room in a restaurant in Washington County.

State police say a 7-year-old boy found the .357 Taurus in the men's bathroom at TGI Friday's in South Strabane, but the restaurant chain disputes that statement.

Restaurant spokeswoman Amy Freshwater said an adult found the gun and stayed with it to make sure nobody touched it until the restaurant manager could be summoned. She said an off-duty police officer was in the restaurant at the time and the officer took possession of the firearm.

How could anyone forget their firearm in a restroom?
I have taken off my firearm when having to go to the bathroom but would never to put it back on.
