Re: restrictions on open carry
Hi, i went today to the allegheny county sheriff office with a friend to pick up there permit renewal, and i entered through the side opening right at the permit office. it was really crowded and i rode a pat bus to there. i was open carrying my glock 23 in a blackhawk serpa holster. on the bus ride, the guy across from me stared at the gun the whole trip. in the sheriff office waiting room, no one said anything or even acted funny. this was my first open carry outside of my local area or family property. i felt a little strange walking in the city from the bus stop to the courthouse, but no one seemed to care.

Sam, he probably forgot to breathe until you exited the bus. Just imaging the conversation at his house this evening... "Oh-my-Gawd! Like, there was this man on the bus with a gun and I thought we were all going to die!"
Oh my, that carbon fiber SERPA I bought is so pretty, it's just beggin' to be seen by the world! Just a minute, gotta find my balls first... nope, still lookin!
I've never been one to "follow the crowd", but I'm just gonna have to try OC one of these days too!I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

hey sam good deal on open carry, that was my exact same experience when I did it to go get my permit, except the guards watched me like a hawk.

Re: restrictions on open carry
I was kind of worried that some invisible alarm system was going to go off when i went through the arch of the courthouse, but like i said, no one even gave a crap. Next time i am going to wear my glock 21. Much bigger, but really doesn,t matter if you are open carrying. i think i will just spend the day riding the bus. you just have to sit on the drivers side of the asle, if you are right handed.
