Remington - Knox - Mesa Side Saddle

Anyone know if an 870 with a knox forend will allow for the installation of a mesa 6 shot side saddle? I ask this because the knox forend is longer than the factory remington and i'm afraid it will hit.

If the 6 shot won't work, will the 4 shot?

Not sure about the 870, but I just got my Mesa 6 shell side saddle for my Mossberg 930.
The saddle stays closer to the rear of the receiver on mine, and leaves more room in the front.. So you might be ok.

Thank you for not only responding to the question, but also taking the time to post pics. As long as the 870 side saddle isn't a whole lot different dimensionally, it looks like it may fit. If it doesn't, I can always sell it and get the 4 shot.

No problem what so ever.

I can't imagine the saddle for the 870 being any different in size, because a 6 shell carrier is a 6 shell carrier.. I would only think the way it attaches would be different, but as far as size, I would bet it is the same.
