    Default Lee Case Trimmer

I have the Lee Lock Stud and Cutter tool - 1/4" drill shank and cutter that then you equip with a shellholder and a threaded length gauge.

The threaded length gauge for my .223 cutter has worn down on the tip and I'm trimming brass to 1.74" or so now. Will this length hurt anything?

Also, does anyone know if Lee will cover this tool? It seems silly that it's worn out after trimming something like 400 or so cases....

How much pressure are you putting on the cutter?

Each Lee tool is UNCONDITIONALLY guaranteed... so call them up and get an RMA or what ever they call it. The cutter is only a few $ so you may be out more in postage than buying extras.

I used a drill press and set the press feed stop after I dial in the length... but the standard trimmer will wear... its the design of the tool. I guess you could case harden the lock ring part.
