3 state MC OC ride
This past Friday and Saturday, I was participating in an adventure bike rally in West Virginia. I rode down Friday and back Late Saturday PM.
I OC my G17 for the entire ride, and rally, minus the 10 miles I had to travel in MD, where the firearm was stored in compliance with FOPA.
Nothing of note on the road, and maybe a few glances when I was getting fuel or food, but no interactions.
When I got to the rally, however, lots of good interactions.
I think there may have been one other guy OC at the rally, but not sure. I had many conversations with pro 2A people about where you could OC, who could OC, why I OC, etc.
Several people were from states with good laws like PA and some were from states like NY, NJ MD, etc. Those people were the most interested in the prospect of OC.
Spoke with several guys re: the risks/rewards of OC. One person said he would be afraid to OC and become disarmed. I showed him my BUG, which he was surprised to see. I think a lot of people, if not the majority, do not carry a BUG.
I mostly just let people know the main reasons I OC are: it is more comfortable for me, and I want people to think it is normal. The only way for OC to become normal is for more people to do it.
Made some new buddies, ate soem good food and got to ride my bike in the dirt. All in all, a good weekend. It's all fun and games, until someone loses an eye. Then it is hilarious.

Where was this held? I was in WV most of last week and noticed a lot of ADV style bikes. My version of ADV is a Goldwing.

About the only time I OC any more is when I'm on the motorcycle. It's just easier than trying to conceal it and my jacket riding up and over the gun
