Re: PA knife laws regarding autos
I hear ya.
I have an "asisted opening" Kershaw and the slightest push of the thumb stud sends the thing open lightning fast.
I'd bet it's just a few milimerters more movement than it would take to open a switchblade. It's just feel good bulshit and creative labeling.
I for one would like to see auto's legal. Although what I carry ain't too far from it.

Re: PA knife laws regarding autos
i hate to bump such an old thread, but i'd rather not create an entire new thread for one question....
i have a Gerber 06 Automatic that i'd like to sell. i haven't found a single place online where i can sell a knife without catching any shit for it. if at all possible i'd like to put it up for sale here on PAFOA, but first:
i understand all the basics about possession of autos and carrying, etc, but since switchblade knives are legal to possess as "curios" (at home), how would one go about selling a "curio" to another person so that it may be used in the same manner? is this simply a matter of language and carefully chosen wording or is it probably okay to do?
any help you guys could give me would be great. i really have no use for this knife and i don't know anyone who is interested in it, so i need to find another 'collector' to sell it to. PAFOA seems like the perfect place to find one, but i won't assume it's legal and post it up until i get some feedback.
thanks guys.
