3 Bird Shoot - Father/Son Trophy Shoot - Starview Sportsmen
Just wanting to let everyone know that there is going to be a 3 bird shoot at Starview Sportsmen's Association in Mt. Wolf on Fathers Day, June 21st. Prizes to be awarded to Father/son teams with the highest score. (2 classes - Jr for school age and Sr for anyone over 18) Open to everyone!
Going to be good food and some fun. 3 bird shoots are always really well attended and lots of challenging birds!
All you need is a good, serviceable shotgun capable of 3 shots (pump/semi) and 100 shells.
Hope to see some of you there!
John

John, how much? Adults? Juniors? Also, is the father son a team 3 bird shoot or do you both shoot 100 and its just a total score?

Re: 3 Bird Shoot - Father/Son Trophy Shoot - Starview Sportsmen
OK...sorry for any delay in responding to questions, but I didn't see the reply to this thread until today. I am also sorry for the lack of information in my original post....so here goes with some more detail on the shoot.
Starview Sportsmen's Association is holding our First Annual Fathers Day Sporting Clays shoot. This will be a 100 shot, 3 bird shoot. For those that may not know... a 3 bird shoot is simply where 3 birds are thrown by the trapper each time insted of only 2. For obvious reasons this course must be shot with either a pump or semi-auto shotgun.
The 3 bird shoot can be shot by either an individual or if you wish to compete with other Father/Son (or Father/Daughter) teams, there will be a trophy for the 1st place Senior team (Father and child over 18) and a 1st place trophy for Junior team. (Father and child under 18). 2nd and 3rd places will receive a club t-shirt and hat.
Cost is as follows:
Individual Club member - $22
Individual Non-club member - $24
Junior (anyone with school ID) - $15
Cost to compete as a Father/child team is an additional $10 for the team.(not EACH)
Shooting begins at 9am but I would suggest you arrive a bit early to sign up as these are pretty well attended shoots and they are ALOT of fun.
Starview Sportsmen's Association address is 501 Jerusalem School Road Mount Wolf, PA 17347. (717) 266-4982
Hope to see some of you there!
John
