Default Buying another AR - opinions

Probably going to buy another AR soon (this will be 3). I found an Armalite flat top for $1025, a Stag model 3 flat top for $979, and I think I can get a S&W MP 15X flattop for around $900. SO, will some of you more experienced AR guys help me decide which one I would like better?

BTW my other two ARs are both Colts and have never given me any problems.

    Thanks

Personally, I would favor the Stag or S&W.

If you haven't built one yourself yet, go that route.

    That's a good option too.

That's my exact first thought! I bought my first one factory, but decided that it would be a fun experience to build one. You won't save too much $, but you'll get EXACTLY what you want with some patience (waiting for parts). Of course, no one if forcing to you build instead of buy......

    ...but seriously, build one.

Not sure how to even go about building one. I have a feeling I would have more in parts than just buying it already built. Wouldnt the resell value be better on a stock gun anyways? The S&W is pretty much the gun I would build anyways, so I think I will place the order for it tomorrow.
    Thanks

With shopping around you can build one a bit cheaper than buying a prebuilt. Many people build their own so they can customize it from the git go. I don't think an owner built will have any less value than any other, typically because an owner built normally has most of the stuff that person use to customized an existing gun. Building one from scratch is a lot of fun, you learn about the gun from the inside out, and as stated, you can build it to suit your needs, wants, whims, etc.

If you opt for a pre built, any of the three you listed will do everything you want it to do.

A lot of people say it's cheaper to build one but I have to disagree. You end seeing all kinds of nice things that you end up buying and in the end spending more that you would on a pre-built AR. However, you will end up with a much nicer gun.

I will be finishing my build this week. It is really a basic gun. No bells or wistles. When it is all said and done I will be 300 dolars under the cost of an entry level ar15 from any factory I have seen.
