    Default New Member - Pittsburgh Area

    Hello everyone,

    Just joined the forum. Looks good.

    I'm a former U.S. Army Officer & Law Enforcement Officer from WA State.
    I was able to take my early retirement several years ago and me and my wife moved to the Pittsburgh area so that I could watch my Pirates play baseball!

    I've been involved in firearms training since the mid 80's, my company Personal Security Consultants provides the defensive pistol training at Anthony Arms Indoor Range in West Mifflin.

    We also run the Thursday night Defensive Pistol League at the range.

    I know some of you from shooting some IDPA matches at G.P.G.C. during the last couple of years.

    Welcome to the forum Orive, it's always good to have a current or ex LEO perspective on things sometime so that's always a bonus.

    There's a bunch of members here who shoot at GPGC (until the recent closing anyway) so it's probably likely that you do know a few members.

    Hi Otto! Long time, no see... Dave W, Bob M and I have been shooting IDPA at a club called S.T.A.R.T.....one exit south of Mingo Jct. A great bunch of folks there..they run some fun matches. In the event that GPGC doesn't reopen (and no,...I haven't heard ANYTHING as to how things are progressing) we will probably hook up with them for next season and help them out with their matches.
