My better half and i were talking about this the other night after reading the car jacking thread. I read the thread out loud and we talked about why being aware of your suroundings is at upmost important. I explained why i always have my gun on me even in the house. Why it is important to turn on all the yard lights when taking the dogs out. I also explained why evey gun i own is always loaded even while in the gun cabinet. We talked about what each of our jobs were if at anytime we hear someone in the house.

I cant say enough about why it is important to have these plans in place. I have two big dogs and if someone did get in the house i have no doubt they would let us know, but sometimes i can get in the back door without them hearing me, i usually yell " burgler !" and they come running and barking , lol. Go over these plans with everyone in your house. Include your kids if you have them. Everyone has a job. ME = gun , Better half = phone police , Dogs = eat bad guy ,lol.

A couple of these rigged to real guns would be useful.

Combine that with Sony's face recognition and smile detection technology used on their cameras and you've got yourself discriminating happy people terminator.
Really though, infrared motion detectors are cheap and might be of more use than listening to faint sounds around the house.

I like that turret! As fun as it is with paintball I wonder how well it would work with something else? Hmm say a Five SeveN?
