Now is not a good time to get a 37, wait to see what the problem was.

I'd still wait untill the results and Tests comes in or atleast untill Glock makes a statement.
Glock seem to be very silent on the issue.

Have you shot one yet? What do you want it for? I wasn't aware that there was a problem but apparently there is. I'd wait and see or at least investigate thoroughly. Glock is a reliable brand but there are other options.

Re: Thinking of buying a glock 37
I asked three PSP Troopers how they feel about the 37. All three liked the gun, but 2 said that they have heard rumors of them being replaced already. Ammo supply was the reason, no issues with the gun . If they drop they .45 gap, maybe that will lower the demand on the caliber and make it easier to find. But it could also put the .45 gap on course for a slow death(maybe). The best thing for you to do is to take a look at how much .45 gap ammo is in your area now. In my area, I have a hard time finding 3 boxes of the same brand/weight of bullets. I thought about buying one untill I did a little window shopping for ammo.

Well thats good to find out, what about the glock 38? Same problem? I though the blow up issue was traced back to a bad batch of ammo and was since fixed...

I'd pass on the oddball caliber. Get a 17 or a 19. cheaper to shoot, easier to find ammo......maybe
