I see in one of the posts above, the old story about Windex. That is totally incorrect. The corrosive primers produce potassium salts that are soluble in water, not Windex (which is methanol based). Use the tried and trusted method (used for over 100 years in European and US armies).

Remove bolt, insert funnel into breech, pour around a quart of boiling water down barrel, run dry patches down, then use your "solvent of choice" to clean, relubricate and reassemble. Works every time. Also need to strip the bolt and clean it with a water-based cleaner, then dry and clean/relubricate. Dave_n

No, just perform the necessary with BW when you get home, and do it immediately, unless you like a pitted bore. However, if you know that you are going to be using corrosive ammo and without a chromed bore, then a thermos bottle of very hot water also works. I used to shoot a lot of 0.303 and 7.62 x 54R rifle ammo, effectively all of which were corrosive. So the themos jar of very hot water was always with me. No corroded bores! Dave_n

A 50/50 mix of ammonia & water takes care of the issue when I shoot 7.62x54r stuff. I've used it for 2 years and the barrel is clear. The guns also shoot better than I can. I have no idea how many rounds were through it before I purchased them as milsurp.

How do i know if my ammo is corrosive?
Pull the bullet, pour out the powder, pop the primer and taste it. If it's salty it's corrosive.

(please note that this suggestion is a farce)
