Firearms-friendly/self defense attorney in SW PA?
Can anyone recommend a good firearms-friendly attorney who can handle a self-defense shooting, in SW PA area?
No incident... just to have a name and number handy in case the need ever arises, it would be nice to know of somebody to actually call when saying, "I'm not answering anything until I speak with my lawyer".

Re: Firearms-friendly/self defense attorney in SW PA?
Good thread!
I've been wondering about this very situation, myself. I'd like to be able to sit down with someone, have a consultation explaining what I could possibly need from them and, consequently, have someone to turn to in the event something terrible does happen.

Re: Firearms-friendly/self defense attorney in SW PA?
I may be the only guy who asked my lawyer this very question.
His response was: if it becomes an issue, STFU, I'll show, and we'll bring in counsel if it's outside the firm's areas of practice or expertise if needed.
Here is the fundamental problem I have with the premise of just carrying around a lawyer's name/number: if they don't know you, and if you end up cooling your heels in the holding tank, you may cool your heals for quite some time. The only way you will probably get a decent criminal defense and/or specialist legal beagle out of bed is if you are a frequent user thereof.
Whereas my attorney's firm handles my tax/estate stuffs, business law needs, etc. I know if I ring their line they'll send in the troops when needed.
YMMV, of course.
