Default May 15 07 Pro Gun voter guide

The link has a primary pro gun voters guide by (FOAC) Firearms Owners Against Crime.

    http://www.foac-pac.org/ use PA on right.

It’s only updated for southwestern PA right now but the supreme court and superior court vote recommendations for pro gun candidates are statewide.

"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors" - Plato

If you are a gun owner and you do not VOTE you are NOT part of the solution.
YOU are part of the problem.

Okay, time to see if this is just another Republican front or a true PRO-GUN voting summary...

    What a scam.

They discriminated against Panepinto for Supreme Court because he's from Philadelphia but little do they know that he is one of the leading voices in Philadelphia for gun rights!

All these crazy Democrats like Angel Cruz want to seize the guns of law-abiding citizens but Panepinto has never demonstrated any tolerance for that kind of violation of the 2nd Amendment, not to mention Article 1 Section 21.

Vote for Panepinto! Just because he's from Philly doesn't mean he's not with us 100%. In fact if Philadelphia does pass more insane gun restrictions that are challenged up to the Supreme Court, who would be better placed up there to rule our way? He knows these issues first-hand!

    Vote for Panepinto!

Got this email from Harry Schneider with some good intel for the judges.

Tuesday May 15, 2007 is primary election day in PA.

The best guide for gun owners is compiled by 'Firearms Owners Against
Crime'. FOAC endorses candidates from local to statewide.

Please visit the FOAC website at http://www.foac-pac.org see and print
    out
    voters guides for your area.

If you are a Democrat, your choice is simple, for statewide office
    there is
'Seamus McCaffery' for Supreme Court. FOAC guides will help you with
    county offices however.

If you are a Republican, you have several FOAC endorsed choices. For
Supreme Court, there is 'Maureen Lally-Green'. While the PSA does not
endorse candidates, I have known Judge Lally-Green for several years
    and
personally recommend her. For many years Judge Lally-Green did work
    for
former Supreme Court Chief Justice Flaherty and was greatly influenced
    by
him. The following is an extract from a decision written by Chief
    Justice
    Flaherty:

"The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and
    the
State shall not be questioned...Because the ownership of firearms is
constitutionally protected, its regulation is a matter of statewide
    concern.
The constitution does not provide that the right to bear arms shall not
    be
questioned in any part of the commonwealth except Philadelphia and
Pittsburgh, where it may be abridged at will, but that it shall not be
questioned in any part of the commonwealth." SUPREME COURT OF
    PENNSYLVANIA,
    545 Pa. 279; 681 A.2d 152; 1996 Pa. LEXIS 1447, May 1, 1996, ARGUED
    July
    18, 1996, DECIDED

If you want to see that kind of honest interpretation restored to
Pennsylvania Courts, you need to get out on Tuesday and vote as if your
freedom depends on it. Use the FOAC http://www.foac-pac.org voters
    guide
for your area. Please forward this to your friends.

Please forward this important message to your friends.

Got this email from one of the VERY best pro gun state Reps we have. PLEASE VOTE.

    Dear Friends,

Tuesday May 15, 2007 is primary election day in PA!!!

Even though the media has already focused on the 2008 elections, there
    are
    important races this year.

On Tuesday we will choose candidates for the PA Supreme Court, Superior
Court, county offices and local government offices, including school
    board
    in many areas.

In some races you will be able to choose two candidates instead of just
    one.

If you like a candidate and would like to see him or her win their
    race,
then voting only for your candidate of choice will give your vote more
    weight in the election results.

I plan on casting only one vote in each of the top judicial races for
candidates who I personally know and respect and would respectfully ask
    you
to consider doing the same for:

Maureen Lally-Greene for Supreme Court and Jacqueline Shogan for
    Superior
    Court

Both Maureen and Jacqueline are endorsed by Firearm Owners Against
    Crime and
    LifePAC.

    For Liberty,
    Daryl Metcalfe
    State Representative

    What a scam.

They discriminated against Panepinto for Supreme Court because he's from Philadelphia but little do they know that he is one of the leading voices in Philadelphia for gun rights!
Maybe Panepinto did not answer the questionnaire that was sent to him by FOAC, this is very most common reason they didn't get one. It’s really hard to endorse someone who doesn't give you or not willing to commit some responses in writing on the 2nd amendment issuse to the same question that is asked of everyone that wants your endorsement running for that office.

Many hundreds of man hours are spent on FOAC endorsements, reviewing replies to questions, doing personal follow up interviews, checking past voting records where applicable, endorsements are not give out like prizes in crackerjack boxes, it’s a very detailed and time consuming process.

PLEASE Contact Kim Stolfer at activist@fyi.net ask Kim directily why Panepinto was not included on FOAC endorsed candidates list, might be another really good reason why he did not receive one.

The hairs on the back of my neck went up on Panepinto when I heard his stated prioritiy as being "children at risk". That's one of those politically correct phrases for what used to be called juvenile delinquents. I'm not impressed with politically correct language coming from anyone who wants my vote. Sorry, but it just rubs me the wrong way. I'm not neccessarily a P.C. guy myself and it makes me think that we'd probably have issues on other subjects too.

Got this one in the email box

The 2007 Primary is finally here!

We cannot overemphasize the importance of this election. Off year
elections are special in that we get to elect members of the judiciary
(courts) to office. These individuals are ones who are the final
arbiters of constitutional law and gun owners in Pennsylvania need a
strong and independent court considering the number of bad laws that
    still exist.

In addition many of the county level candidates end up being groomed
for higher office and our early intervention and education gives us the
background to track how well these individuals adhere to their beliefs.

The FOAC Voters Guides are attached to this message and are also
available on our website at www.foac-pac.org. They are designed to
promote political responsibility through informed participation of
citizens. The Voters Guide listings are based on many factors including
    material submitted by the candidates.

With the above in mind we also extend an apology to all gun owners in
counties where candidate information is unavailable! One of the
greatest challenges for us has been not in working with candidates but
in trying to get candidate information from the county level Bureau’s
of Election. This year, instead of getting better, has been the worst
and at this point we were unable to contact the candidates in 28
counties because of this resistance to making public information
available in accordance with the law. We continue to work with elected
representatives in Harrisburg to fix this and will keep you apprised as
    these items develop.

In any event we THANK you for your time and look forward to seeing you
    at the polls!

    Best Regards,

    Kim Stolfer, Chairman
