Paletown Gun club members: Pistols at dawn?
Hey fellers. I'm thinking we haven't had a Paletown get together in awhile. Last time ppl had their long guns, was thinking this time we show off our sidearms, eh? I'm good for Sunday only. What say you?

With Sunday being Mother's Day, I can't do it. How about next weekend?

Re: Paletown Gun club members: Pistols at dawn?
Was at the range yesterday (alone, thanx buddies) and had a good time blastin'. Word of caution, though. When you go to this range, spray your legs and feet down with Off™ bug repellent. I got home and within a few hrs found FIVE ticks on me! Grass isn't long or anything there, but obviously there is a problem with ticks. Be warned!

Every spring, they're like that there. They don't last for long, though.

Ticks! They are REALLY bad there!
Second time in a row I came home crawling with ticks. I went today thinking it was wet, maybe too wet hopefully for ticks. I only was going to shoot 2 mags (60rnds) of .223 through my AR to test some reloads. I was there maybe 5 min. I've since picked FOUR ticks off me. Giving me the creeps just typing it. I think I'm gonna be at Ridge and Valley till things ease up.

Oh come ON, it's not like you don't have some meat to spare for a few hungry critters! ZING!!!
Seriously, I went on Saturday, and I came home with two of the little bastards on me. This time of year, Paletown is crawling with them. At least they're wood ticks and not deer ticks. Deer ticks are the ones that carry Lyme.

So are we going to "shoot" for another Pistols at dawn? I'm up for this weekend...but you guys can go first to soak up all the ticks.
By the way, is the lake/pond open yet to fishing?"Cause remember: no matter where you go.....there you are" ---Buckaroo Banzai

I think it opens on June 1, but I'm not 100% sure.
