Carpenter bees and Red Ryder
I had a bad problem with carpenter bees attacking my deck. I tried all sorts of sprays etc. but I found a better solution..... target practice with my old BB gun..... So far I've gotten 22 of them (5 on the fly) and I've really put a dent in their population. If anyone is looking for a cheap and entertaining way to pass some time....this is worth a try.
( The ones that buzz you are the males (yellow face) and they're harmless...no stinger..the females (black face) have a stinger but I can find no record of anyone ever being stung by one.)
I have a fear that this will become popular and the government will step in and start regulating it.

The bad part is that it takes so many to make a decent meal.

Just make sure you do it during "Bee Season" and you are wearing your blaze orange vest.
Really sounds like a lot of fun though. When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Re: Carpenter bees and Red Ryder
Wish it was that easy for us. Those damn things come back every year and eat holes in our eves (2 stories up), make nests and then shit (yes they shit) out the hole that stains the white paint up there. I have shoved steel wool in the holes and then filled them with caulk and the damn things still do it.
Anyone that has any great ways to stop these pricks PLEASE let me know, I will be forever in your debt.

Plinking all day with an old Red Ryder mod- 1938 is what got me started in shooting almost 60 years ago and I found out it's still a blast!!! I thought about using my Droz blackbird but that seemed like overkill.

I found out the hard way that pressure treated wood doesn't bother them since they aren't eating it. Constant vigilance.
