    Hi guys, do any one of you know what kind of store would carry nylon webbing? I am planning on making my own rifle sling.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Army surplus stores typically carry webbing, buckles, sliders, etc. everything to make whatever type sling you want).

    There was a post herte about building your own sling from parts. I built one and it works great. I believe the parts were available at True Value or one of the other brand name, not big-box, hardware stores. Can't remember which one right now. Damned oldtimers disease.

    If your heart is SET on building your own sling from a few dollars worth of parts by all means - do it. But there are very cheap options out there that will blow away what you're going to come up with most likley for the same amount of money.

    For example;

    They also ship free.

    I cannot recommend this sling any more highly. Nothing touches it for the money.

    One of the best surplus stores in the country is Coleman's between Millersburg and Elizabethville and you can order on line.
